[snipped from Jeremiah’s Weblog]
I’ve been saying ‘Oy!’ a lot. I know I’m not Jewish so saying “Oy Vey!”(which is Yiddish) probably isn’t the wisest thing, but Dave says it all the time on his blog, and it’s addictive. Speaking of not being Jewish, a surprising number of the people I hang around on a daily basis are (I had named them previously, but I decided that wasn’t a good idea). Anyways, it just goes to show that I know a lot of very smart people, and a lot of those people are Jewish. I’m wonder if there are just as many Athiests and Christians? It’d be interesting to see this as a poll. Interesting, but I don’t know what signifigance it would hold. I don’t think descriminating on the basis of religion is a good idea. Don’t get pissed at me for observing something. I now concider myself a Humanist, it fits me well. [Jeremiah’s Radio Weblog]About being Jewish: although my ethnicity is Jewish (and what else could it be with the name Cohen?), I don’t really consider myself belonging to the Jewish religion, or any other organized religion for that matter. I’m not exactly an Atheist, but I don’t really believe in the Judeo-Christian concept of god. Religion isn’t really something I think about, but when I do, I guess I prefer Eastern religions.
