It looks like Apple is making sure that no iPhone 3G S deliveries will arrive before the official release on Friday. Most online iPhone 3G S pre-orders from the Apple Store shipped yesterday with an estimated delivery date of today (June 17). When the shipments arrived at the Louisville, KY UPS processing center, they were “held for future delivery”. I guess all of us will have to wait until Friday to get our hands on one.
